Cake Week 10:

DECADE-nce

For my tenth Cake Week around the sun, I knew I had to do something special. The fact that we were all trapped in our homes and I found myself with a lot more time only hardened my resolve to do a Cake Week unlike any seen before: DECADEnce, a ten-day splurge of all homemade cakes, ending in an outrageous tower of rainbow sponge and buttercream.

Despite my 90 degree kitchen.

Despite never having made this many cakes.

Despite the cake sweats from eating this much sugar.

Cake Week DECADEnce was a celebration of a new chapter in my life and a turning point in what I could do as a baker. I don’t know that I’ll ever look back.
